This February, we mark 100 years of national recognition of Black history. The City of Alexandria invites you to join us in a month-long celebration featuring special events and activities that highlight the many ways Black communities have shaped our world.

Beginning Tuesday, February 3, the City will begin enforcement of the sidewalk snow removal ordinance and asks residents to clear snow and ice from sidewalks adjacent to your property as soon as possible.

The Special Election in the City of Alexandria is on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Learn more about what to expect for the upcoming election to ensure you're ready to vote!
